Big Canoe, Georgia

Since I've had several comments on the location of the porch with the Log Cabin quilt, I thought I'd share a few pictures of Big Canoe, GA. We live in Marietta which is just outside of Atlanta and in November bought a condo up in the North Georgia Mountains (about an hour's drive from Marietta).

We LOVE this area. It is so close to home that we can go up there frequently and Keith can commute to work if we stay past the weekend. There is hiking, golf, tennis, swimming, boating, and the area is gorgeous.

The first picture is the view from the deck of the condo and the other two views are nearby.

ahhh - that is so not what I thought Georgia looked like - not sure what I thought Georgia looked like, but that is not it. It is BEAUTIFUL!

Do you need a housesitter??? :-) Its truly beautiful. Love the fall colours in the leaves of the one photo too. I'm so jealous as all we get is yellow/brown, no reds and oranges...

nice! my sister lives in Lilburn, and I got to know the area a bit more driving around last October.
I love how many lakes there are in Georgia-the soft colors. I am sure it is a delight to go and spend time there. Cher

What a lovely place! We have lots of friends in the Atlanta area, so maybe we'll connect someday. I love your Autumn Cabin quilt. Welcome to the group!
