Adam's Birthday

We just got home from seeing Adam for his birthday. We had dinner at the Ritz Carlton where he's working now and got to meet his girlfriend too. She was able to join us for dinner and we had a wonderful time.

Here's a picture of Adam with his quilt. He'd asked me for a quilt from all his old jeans a while ago - maybe as long as a couple years ago. A few months ago he asked when I was going to get around to making it - Since I'd had most of the squares cut I figured I could finish a UFO and give it to him for his birthday.

The appliques are all from the jeans - even the nasty looking snake in the middle of the quilt.

It sounds like you had a fun time and the quilt looks great. You're doing well finishing your UFOs too.

Great job on the denim quilt. Isn't it nice when your son likes what you've made? I have two teenaged boys and they seem to appreciate the quilts I've made them too.

Guess he really wanted that quilt - with those little helpful reminder/hints so carefully timed before his birthday! I bet you are glad to be finished with that - that must be one heavy quilt!!! Sounds like you all had a nice b-day dinner.

Cheers!
