Books to Read (or not)

I finished reading Saving Fish from Drowning by Amy Tan. I have to repost about this book because when I posted initially I was enjoying the book.

Now having read the entire book, I would not recommend it. I found the beginning different but interesting, the middle was horrible - very difficult to get through, and the end was OK.

I did continue to struggle through the book because I wanted to see what was going to happen to the characters.

Not a glowing endorsement once you got a bit further along---but you don't always know. Disappointing when you did like others by the same author.

Thanks Mary, for the update. I trust your opinion. It's off the list!

I hate that when it happens. It starts out okay, then you have to struggle to the end to find out whats going on!

Thanks, Mary. I'll make sure that my book club doesn't go for this one. I'm like you-I keep reading to find out if it gets any better.
I do want to tell you that "The Secret Life of Bees" is pretty good. You might want to give it a try.
