I had a lot of comments on Mom's Honeybee so I thought I would post the book I found the pattern in. I bought my copy at Joann's but it's been a while and I had a hard time locating it online but finally found it on the site Alibris. I did look and couldn't find it at the usual sites - Amazon, B&N, or even the Leisure Arts or Oxmoor site.

I just looked over at my bookcase, and sure enough its there! no wonder the cover looked familiar :-)
I have a bunch of those Great American Quilt books - at least 10 I think. Had a yearly subscription when they were put out as hardbacks. I love to look at them but I've yet to make anything out of them.
The block's name is Honey Bee and I found it in Block Base (EQ). Many years ago I made a table cloth using the block. I found the pattern in American Patchwork and Quilting. It is a lovely block :-)
Eureka! I have it! Thanks, Mary, for looking up the book for us. I'm going to leave it out on my sewing table - need to start thinking about a honeybee!

Honeybee was one of the first blocks I learned to make in my very first quilting class. We had to do everything by hand. Thanks for the memories.
I have a lot of those Great American Quilts books but I don't think I have that one. I love the ones I have.
