A visit to the bookstore

It's been two weeks - longer than I usually go without my B&N fix so this afternoon I spent a couple hours browsing through books and magazines. I bought the new Quilter's Newsletter special edition 9-patch Quilts and a handful of books.

I've been reading a couple older Nora Roberts books - you know the kind - no thought involved just a quick mindless read. I'm also about halfway through Saving Fish from Drowning by Amy Tan. I enjoy her books and while this one is somewhat different I'm really liking it too.

I finished Prior Bad Acts by Tami Hoag last week. I'd mentioned in a previous post that I was reading it and got a kick out of it being set in Minneapolis.

I know I finished something else last week but I can't remember what it was. Does anyone else read so much that they have trouble remembering which books they just finished? It's not that I wouldn't remember the story if I had the book in my hand - I just can't remember what book I was reading. Very sad.

Was it "Twelve Sharp"? I think we were both reading it at the same time.

I can't remember things either. Many times I have checked out a book of video, and my daughter tells me that I've already seen or read it. Then it takes me a few minutes to realize that I have.
I'm thinking it must not have been really good, because otherwise I'd remember it. Then I think that maybe I checked it out because I must have really liked it the first time around.

doesn't everyone forget what they've read? I never remember titles or authors, I just know whether I liked it or not... and after a week or two and a bunch more stories, I'm not even sure which one was about what :)

A group of us have formed a book club, and the first book was "The Kite Runner". I didn't pick it and I wouldn't recommend it. The next one is "The Secret Life of Bees". I'm hoping this one is better.
I like the Nora Roberts and Janet Evanovitch type books but I also love James Patterson. But don't ask me titles.............

Eeek-Deaver has a new book I haven't read! I will look for that. Do you read Greg Isles? Blood Memory is really good! Also, I am hooked on Harlen Coben. His newest book has a character in it that has been in previous books, Myron Bolitar. Good reads. I have begun lists to identify which books I read because I never remember. Now where are those lists???

I'm even worse, I'll browse the new books on the seven-day shelf at the library, and it's only by looking at the flap that I can remember if I've read them... :)

It just means we're very well read!
