I'm home

My flight got in this afternoon and after another sleepless night and early morning I'm tired so there be no work for me today. I'm getting behind so I'll have to start quilting again tomorrow - I brought 5 tops back with me plus all the ones I already have waiting.

After taking me to the airport this morning at 6AM, Mom went home and finished putting this last one we'd been working on together so it's ready to send to me for borders and quilting. This was from leftover strips from the green double 4 patch and it's a 16 patch alternating with a pinwheel block.

Glad you're home safely. Your mom didn't stop when you left, did she? I love those green quilts you've been making.

mary, the green quilt is gorgeous BUT, the wallhanging is spectacular! it looks applique and is truly beautiful...did your mother make it or did someone else make it for her?

Glad to see you're back! The new top looks great, and the appliqued wall hanging on the wall behind it is a beauty! Rest up--sounds like you have a busy few days ahead of you!

Mary, glad you are back and were able to go visit your mom and spend some "quilty" time with her. I so wish my mom was still living so we could do the same. ;)

Thanks for your fast response about the coins. If Nora keeps up her button fasination I should be able to get my quilting goals acomplished in the next couple weeks. :c) I was able to get a lot done this past week and just posted about it tonight on my blog.

Happy Weekend ~Bonnie in SE Texas

I love the way that top looks! Green is my favorite color, so I probably have enough scraps around here to try one of those. I love it with the tans. It seems to move with the color alterations and the design.

Good you had such a nice visit with your mom.
