I went in to pick out more quilting stitches tonight and the crazy thing is I don't even know why I decided I had to pull all of this out and start over. It's really not that bad.
However, I am going to finish it now and just do a pantograph. Honestly, I don't know why I'm so dissatisfied with my work these days.

Nothing at all wrong with it that I can see! I'd be delighted to have done it. I ASPIRE to do work like that...
Okay, put the stitch picker down and step away from the quilt! LOL! Are these quilts you HAVE to get done now? Maybe you need a break to do something different. Maybe you're not happy with something else in your life and that dissatisfaction is being transferred to your quilting? What's that you say? Maybe I don't have a degree in psychology and I should just shut up?! LOL! That quilting looks just fine to me, but then so did the quilting you did last week on the one for your mom. If you must soldier on, go easier on yourself. Your work is really nice. Really.
Your quilting is lovely! the next time you start to pick out a lot of quilting just leave it for a day. Sometimes just stepping away for a day will make it look a lot better!
Aren't you about to go visit mom? Put the quilts away and take Chesty for a walk in one of those beautiful parks up your way. Give yourself a break, think spring instead of string for a while.
It sounds to me like you have hit the quilter's overload wall - hard.....
Take a break and do something nice, just for you - be it going out for walks, drinking coffee outdoors, read a book, start something quilty just for fun and just for you. Take care!
We are always our own worse critic (ok maybe we have a mom or sister who is but we are very close!) anyways, find a friend or fellow quilter (this can be one person!) and let them tellyou if you should pick on or back away from the perfectly good quilt! For the photo I suspect the latter!
I don;t see anything wrong in it, I just love what you have done with it.
I can't agree more with everyone else's posts. Your work is lovely, I've paid for much worse machine quilting on my own quilts. Maybe you just need to take a break and do something else, or take a walk or something. It looks lovely.
I have to agree with everyone else. Step away from the sewing machine. Step away from the long arm. Take a deep breath. Go get a pedicure. (I highly recommend the pedicure thing too -- makes mee feel refreshed, pampered, and generally spoiled). Read a non-quilting book.
Neither do I ! It's beautiful ! Don't be so hard with yourself, you're doing such a great job !
Smiles !

I have talked to quite a few people who are having depression issues.....so it must be in the air.....your quilts always look so nice and your quilting also looks really nice.....so as the ladies before me said....step away from the quilts.....they look great !!!!
I vote for the sleep on it until after your trip option. Some times, it isn't the quilting at all... and from what I can see, it looks fine!! Maybe you just need some R & R and then you will feel refreshed and ready to quilt!! :-) - Jan
It really great, Mary. I agree with the others. Maybe you've just hit the quilting wall. It happens to all of us. Step away from it for a couple of days. You have been really churning out the charity quilts lately. You need a break!
(Big hugs)
Oh my - that looks very nice Mary. Time is now long past of course - and you must be at your mother's now. I think time away from your longarm is probably the best thing you could do right now. Makes me think we should have a rule - no picking out of a design just because we think we don't like it until we think on it for 24 hours!
