I'm getting behind again

Chesty had vaccinations yesterday and had a painful reaction to one of them. He was in pain during the night and then when I called the vet's office they tried to tell me it was normal.

Well, I knew it wasn't and insisted he be seen again - finally after being seen and getting a steroid shot to decrease the inflammation he is better tonight.

He's such a sweetie and I always feel so bad when he's sick or hurt. Here he is on another day keeping me company in my studio. Hopefully, tomorrow he'll feel like sitting on the window seat while I finish up the quilt of Mom's I have on the longarm.

Poor Chesty! Hope he feels better soon.

Hope he's better soon. It is so hard when our loved ones can't tell us where it hurts or how much. They look so miserable and all we can do is hold them a lot, pet them a lot, hope they'll eat something and give them all the love we can!

Awww! I hate when they hurt too. I hate when I have to leave them at the kennel too -- which we're gearing up to do on Saturday and I'm already dreading it.

Glad you persisted and got some results... and remember, "behind" is a normal state of being!

I often tell my dogs I wish I could put them in a glass bubble to keep them safe always, but alas, it's not possible. I am so glad Chesty is feeling better. That face is just priceless. I wish I could give him a big sloppy kiss! :)

Poor Chesty! I hope you are giving him extra attention until he feels better. Sometimes you just have to go with your instincts. I'm glad you did.

Chesty reminds me so much of Leo, with his serious pleading eyes. I am glad you insisted on having him seen to.
