Nothing exciting to show today

I worked on grunt work so unless you want to see a photo of a backing or binding I've got nothing to show. I did get some new books so I'll have to update my Shelfari bookshelf later tonight.

Have you seen the "You Make my Day" award going around the web? VickiW mentioned my blog last week and I was thinking about participating and then Annemiek mentioned (nominated?) me too. Rather than listing blogs I'll just say thank you to all of you who inspire my quilting.

Plus you have Chesty, & he is always a drawcard for me! LOL!

The "grunt work" is what paves the way for all of the beautiful work to be shown. Love all of the finishes you've done in the past week. That champagne card is so much fun and those crumb blocks are looking lovely! Hope you are getting some of your energy back!

I've given you a "You make my day award" on my blog too!!
I just love reading about all the stuff you make and your generosity in sharing your patterns, knowledge and quilts with good causes :)

While I don't enjoy making quilt backs (unless they're scrappy-pieced ones), I DO enjoy making and putting on binding. I machine stitch the binding to the quilt and then savor every moment of hand stitching the binding to the back... grunt work or no, it brings me great pleasure.

Thanks for all you share on your blog and websites - you DEFINITELY make many of my days!!
