This week's lists

First more swirls quilting on a UFO, a Chinese Coins quilt pieced for HeartStrings.

Although I don't always write it down, I do keep a weekly to do list.

Finish quilting the Chinese Coins quilt on the machine
Bind 2 quilts
Finish 1 postcard; make 2 new ones
Load and quilt at least 2 tops
Start piecing my next top - a crumb quilt

My Sunday stashbusting report

  • I finished up 1 UFO using stash for back, binding. The Lizard top got quilted and has a backing from stash.
  • Two donation tops the Red HeartStrings and the Coins quilt have bindings from stash.
  • I bought fabric for the first time in probably 3 months. A set of fat quarters.

I continued to purchase books and embellishments to use in crazy quilting and making postcards.....I haven't put a limit on those but I think I've probably built up enough of an embellishment stash that I can stop purchasing for now.

I really love reading your blog! You are an inspiration to me. I like doing lots of charity quilts and always enjoy seeing the ones you finish.

You haven't bought fabric in THREE months - that's very impressive!

Love the swirls on the chinese coins! No fabric in 3 months??? I'm not that good.

The swirls look nice. The good thing about embellishments is they don't take up nearly as much space as fabric!

As always, I'm impressed by your accomplishments. I may end up getting the swirls at MQS -- thanks to you! :)

Are you feeling better?

I love your swirls. Can you tell me what kind of machine you are doing that on? Is it a long arm with a pantograph (that's what they call it, right, when they have the strips of paper)? It is AMAZING how the quilting pattern can completely change/enhance the look of the quilt.
