The week in review

Stashbusting
  • More progress made on my current project which is completely from stash and officially needs a name now - I started out calling them crumb blocks but they're really more like log cabin blocks pieced with crumbs and strings....add some scattered hearts and what do you get? I don't know - any suggestions for naming this quilt?
  • The backing and binding on this donated top quilted this week were from stash.
  • The backing and binding on this donated top finished this week were from stash.
  • The binding for this donated top was pulled from stash and has been stitched on - now it just needs to be hand-stitched down.
  • No fabric purchases either.

I got through my to do list this week - 3 tops quilted (4 if you count the dwirling panel quilt on Sunday) and 3 quilts bound.

Finally, two UFO's were finished #6 my doll sized Crazy Quilt and #7 a donated HeartStrings top pieced by Annie.

I got my Pajama Quilter DVD yesterday and watched it right away. What a great DVD! Just watching it the one time gives me confidence that I can do these things. This morning I bought my white board, pens etc. - the screen on the MagnaDoodle is just not large enough. I can hardly wait to watch it again and practice. Thanks so much for bringing this great learning tool to my attention!

Wow, have you been busy this week. What about Love Those Logs for your quilt name, or Sweetheart Cabins?

OK, don't take this wrong, but since it's made from scraps and has hearts, what about "I Love Trash". My son used to run around singing that song from Sesame Street at the top of his lungs. I loved it. It just made me laugh. It's going to be gorgeous. I'll bet you got a lot done, because it's so darn cold! I'm from Minnesota too.

Great progress!!!! I just ordered the new PJ Quilter DVD based on your rave reviews :) I loved her first DVD so I'm sure I won't be disappointed!!

As for naming the quilt, how about "Crumbling Hearts" or "Crumbly Hearts"?

Keep up the great work!!!

Gosh - you use alot of fabric with all those backings... do you ever think you are going to run out of fabric? I almost never have a piece of fabric big enough for backings or borders so always have to buy those specially.

A quilt name... how about Folk Love? It is looking pretty no matter what you name it!

Cheers!

How 'bout naming it "keeping the home fires burning"? Because that seems to me what we do a lot when our husbands are gone.
