I've finished with the quilting the RWB HeartStrings top and while I'm not really happy with it, it's not as bad as I thought. By the time it's washed and dried I think it will look fine.
I neglected to actually measure the backing provided and managed to run short. Thanks to a post on MQResource , I was able to piece the backing with the quilt still on the longarm. Let me tell you THAT was a big help.

I like that quilt. I also think your quilting pattern choice was just fine. Makes me want to rush out and cut into my RWB stash of fabric.
Mary, I really love those wavy lines and think they fit in perfectly with the quilt theme. Great job!
The quilt is marvellous! I love your quilts from scraps.
It looks great! I like the quilting pattern you chose for this quilt.
I think it's a great effect! BTW, I got your raffle money today and will send the ticket stubs back to you soon - as soon as I get all of the tickets filled out!
That quilt is just lovely. I think it turned out great!!
I like what you did with the string blocks. Good idea! Whew!--piecing your back on the frame must have been quite a trick! I'm glad it was an option. Nice quilt!
Looks great to me!
Oh gosh Mary (and Sue) it's beautiful. I love it. Thanks for posting a full photo.
The quilt looks great. Love the stars in the sashings. The quiltpattern works well with the quilt too.
I think it is the prefect design for the quilt, don't be so hard on your self. I am a big fan of RWB quilts.
Its simply delightful.
I love it! What are you unsure about?
Looks fabulous to me!
I stumbled onto your blog looking for quilt ideas. I think you did a beautiful job on this quilt. Its lovely!
I love this one!!! Still a "string" quilt but with a totally different look. And the wavy lines are just PERFECT - like a flag waving!!! Really Mary, this type of design and quilting together is a winner.
Cheers!
Evelyn
Lovely quilting and leaving the stars unquilted really makes them stand out. Just beautiful!
The quilt looks fantastic! Love the way the yellow star POP in the sashing. Great job :)
