Valentine postcards

Remember the mess on my sewing table a couple weeks ago? I put it all away to work on HeartStrings quilts but seeing Deb's postcards tonight I decided it was time to pull it out again.

Do you think the card on the left is enough to guilt Adam (my youngest) into calling or emailing more frequently? The "Loves me/Loves me not" fabric was a gift from Pam. You'll have to click on the photo to enlarge it enough to see it clearly.

I really like how the first two came out but am not happy with #3. I don't know if I can think of anything to make it better or if I should just start over. I do like how the beading is looking on the edge but I probably shouldn't have zig zagged it. I think I'm going to have to scrap it and start over.

Mary I think they are all very pretty, and I see nothing wrong with the beaded one.

I'm curious if you mail these as is or package them into something else.

I love the first one. I would be interested in whether or not it produces the guilt you mentioned.

Maybe the third one needs something to unify everything; it looks lots of separate little pieces?...

hold on a minute there! remember the mini-quilt you nearly scrapped and then finished up and decided you liked? uh huh. and that first zigzagged postcard? just set the "key" card aside today and come back to it tomorrow. it looks good. somehow the balance is a little odd because of the pink space at the top right, but that's an eye-grabber - better than a "new and improved" sticker on laundry soap!

Oh don't scrap the third one. it just needs a little something in the top right corner. I think it is adorable. Great job. I hope Adam calls.

Hi - I agree with the others; the top right hand corner of the 3rd card needs something. Also maybe the ribbon folded in the "breast cancer" symbol is throwing you off. How about a little bow? Having said all that, I love the cards and you are inspiring me to make some of my own.

Cute cards - don't know about invoking enough guilt to get more calls - I know we have one who means well but just cannot seem to make those calls often enough for me:)

Very Cute! I like the beaded edge, maybe next time you could fuse a binding instead of the zigzag to bead the edge.

A little red brad heart would balance that empty spot if it bothers you.

Too cute!
