I think I'll go the low tech way and add links in my sidebar to anyone who wants to join in. Email me your blog address if you want to play along.
I'll start today with my goal which is very modest - I want to lose 10 pounds so I don't have to buy all new pants in a larger size. I'll try to accomplish this by doing the following:
- Joining WW online and using the Flex Plan
- Trying to exercise - walk or bike - 30 minutes to 1 hour a minimum of 5 days per week
- Drink 64 oz of water each day
- Update the results here on my blog on a weekly basis.

I also am a member of weight watchers. My husband and I joined together and are having a lot of success on the core plan. I have done the flex plan before and stuggled with it. But with core I don't go hungry, i actually don't feel limited, and if I want something that's not on the plan then I have 35 points a week to work with. (which will go up to 63 points on maintenance). I feel like I am eating healthier and making permanent changes that I didn't learn on flex. If you go to my profile you will see a blog that I have with my friends some doing flex, some core. We share recipies so you should check it out. There might be some good ones that will help you with your goals. Good luck!
Good luck with your WW. I like how you plan to handle drinking your 64oz. each day with the Crystal Light on the go. I think I may try that, too.
I rejoined Weight Watchers on Monday and will be drinking water along with you. It seems to me that the water is one of the most important parts of the program.
I will post this with you as well. We will have Weight loss Wednesday too. I'll try to link it up this week. Thanks, Mary!
Good luck with the weight loss. You can do it. Just cutting out starches will take you far.
I am in on the wednesday weight loss support. I have about 8lbs to go. I have been working at it on my own for the month of July but would love to have some chatter support.
At the beginning of July I posted about joining WW and attending a meeting for the first time. I've been to five meetings so far - 7.6 pounds down! I intend to post a report on my blog at least once a month, but not weekly with goals. At least not yet. Right now my exercise goal is just to move more than I have been. I'm in such bad shape that I need to go slowly with the exercise.
Hmmm. You've got me interested. How does WW on-line work? I once shadowed my sister-in-law on her WW endeavor with her books and pamphlets but it was too hard to follow with Japanese food!
I lost 35 pounds on Weight Watchers and can't recommend it enough. I have osteoporosis, and my mother has heart disease, two very good reasons for getting the weight off. I went to the meetings, and was lucky enough to have a terrific leader. I was surprised to find out that some foods made me eat even if I wasn't hungry. BIG HELP! I think you are right on the money about making your first goal to lose 10 pounds. That's how I did it.
Good luck!
