How did it get to be Saturday? The last top quilted was Tuesday so I needed to get back to work since I only have until next Monday to finish the last 3 tops to meet my goal of 10 before leaving for my trip to Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Top #8 is loaded and in progress.
I was very tempted to freehand quilt curls on this top of Mom's but since it's a gift she's giving to someone I decided I shouldn't practice on it. I wanted a windy, breezy look to the quilting so I pulled out the pantograph Windy Day by Lorien Quilting - I'm just following the general flow rather than trying to quilt right on the lines.

Where in PA are you going to be? I'm in South-Central - just above the Mason-Dixon Line.

The quilting is beautiful...I really wish I could do pantos!
Beautiful!
Another beautiful quilt, colors and quilting. I have got to try a longarm someday, just for the experience.
That looks really good!! I love all the gold colors in it. :)

It looks wonderful! You have really kept to your goal and gotten so much done. You go girl!!!
Your quilting looks wonderful and the colors on the quilt are so deliciously vibrant!
Oh Mary - we are all so good and helpful for each other! I've been searching for a good free-form quilting idea for a Kaleidoscope that looks a lot like propellers (!) and this Windy Day is the PERFECT idea. What good timing! That's a BUNCH for the eye candy!
That is a nice one that I don't have. It looks just like a windy day.
Love the colors and quilting pattern on your mom's quilt. So warm and fall-ish! :-) Jennifer
