Top #9 is quilted - this one is another donated HeartStrings top pieced by Deborah. Very, very cute and the Bubbles are just perfect. I'll show a full photo after the binding is done - maybe later this week.
So my question for you all is this - next up (#10) is my Half String Hearts top - a UFO from last year and I'd intended to quilt my freehand hearts (adapted from Jamie Wallen) on it BUT these bubbles are really cute so now I'm leaning toward using the Bubbles pantograph. What do you think?
I will warn you, I'm frequently accused by my son Adam of asking for advice and not taking it!

Well, I think the free hand hearts are lovely, but whatever you do will be wonderful. It's ok that you don't take advice. They're just suggestions anyway!! LOL You're doing a great job finishing up those 10 quilts!
I love your freehand hearts! JMHO. Either will be wonderful!!

I just love those bubbles! Whatever you do it'll be cute. I just love seeing the way you quilt these quilts. Keep up the good work!
The bubbles are very cute! Quilt whatever you are in the mood to quilt
I love the Bubbles! Deborah
That's a tough choice because both designs look terrific. Whichever one floats your boat when you are ready to quilt will be perfect. What will you do with the extra days left over once you have finished your tenth quilt?
I too think both designs are terrific, but I lean toward the hearts on the heartstrings quilt. BUT... you've done another freehand heart pattern that I adore even more. It was echo'd hearts on a blue fabric?? Really close together and switching directions to fill the fabric? (at least I thought it was you)
I say choose whichever is easier!
This is what I was talking about (it is purple!):

Although the more I look at it, it looks pretty time-intensive!
very cool mary! we might be neighbors...we have accepted the job in mpls...more to follow

Bubbles! Hearts on hearts would be overkill.
I really like the look of the corners on this quilt -- very cleverly done, if I've figured out how they were done. I look forward to seeing the whole quilt.
As for quilting the next one, I like the idea of hearts on the heart quilt, but I think it would be great with the bubbles, too.
I vote bubbles. They are so happy! Jennifer
Mary, I love looking at your quilting. I have many of the same pantos and haven't used them. It's great to see what they look like on a quilt.
Way to go! The bubbles are so cute... I think I'm going to give it a trial.
For the Half Heartstring... I like both pantos so how about bubbles in the center and the freehand hearts on the border?
Oh, I can't wait to see the entire quilt quilted, just love the brights! In my mind it is pleasing to see hearts on a heart block quilt. But any quilting is really the icing on the cake so what ever you do will be perfect!
I think the bubbles are nice. What fun quilts. I really enjoyed your blog. Have a great day. Em
I vote Bubbles - cuz its already on the machine. Can't wait to see what you do!
I vote hearts which will bring the whole thing together. I don't think hearts on hearts would be overkill.
Mary,
I know you are going to come up with something really cute. Either design would work. But personally, I like the bubbles.
The bubbles are really cute, but I like the hearts too...figured I didn't have to chose, cause you're gonna do what you want anyway...just like Adams says!
I would go for Bubbles if the voting is not yet closed! since it is already on the table!
