I woke up around 4AM and couldn't get back to sleep - there's a different glow to the world when there's snow on the ground so I took a peak out the window and saw we were finally going to get our first *measurable* snow of the the season!
I couldn't get back to sleep so I made 3 pillowcases for our HeartStrings Pillowcase Party before coming downstairs to snap some photos. More pillowcases, some quilting, and a walk in the snow are on the agenda for today.

The snow looks lovely. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
I love it! I wish we'd get snow (and a ton of it) but the likelihood of that happening is zero right now. If we're lucky, we might get a day of snow sometime this winter. I wait, watch, and long for it every year. In the meantime I shall enjoy and admire your snowflakes. D~~~~
I love the unique morning glow after a snow storm, too.
Snowflakes are falling here, too, but I am sure it will not be anything measurable.
Enjoy your day.
We have the same weather here. I love it!
How exciting! We have some friends that live in Minneapolis and they are trying to talk us into visiting this month (they have a new baby!), they said December's the best time to visit. I sure would love for my kids to see some snow! Enjoy!
I love the muffled sound the city gets when you wake up to new snow, along with the beautiful glow of soft light reflecting everywhere. I adore Florida and don't miss the cold, but I wouldn't mind waking up to that again [just once ;)].
I love snow too and love to sit and sew and look out the window and watch it pile up. Ours is just starting today.
Unfortunately now I dread it with my elderly parents and their canes. Their reasoning isn't so sharp any more and they want to go out in it, and then change their mind after it is too late.
Stunning! I love the snow :)
