Did you want to see some brown?

Puttering along here. Not sleeping at night so I've been reading and then sleeping late in the morning but I thought you might want to see some of the browns. Note that the pink blocks all have different pinwheel centers ....I'm looking at my options while I wait for pink fabric from Vicki. By the way, the blocks are NOT on the design wall in the order they'll go in the quilt -- the brown and pink blocks will alternate.

Keith chose the pink pinwheels -- or the monochromatic version as he called it (he's picked up a thing or two about quilting over the last 9 years).

I tend to ask opinions and then do what I want anyway so anyone else want to chime in? Pink, Red, or Brown pinwheel centers -- if YOU were doing the quilt which would you use? I know what my choice is!

Like what I'm seeing so far. If the quilt is meant to be brown and pink I guess I'd put brown pinwheels in the center of the pink blocks.

I don't care for the brown centers. My first choice is pink, 2nd would be red centers. I wonder what your choice is?

I would make each block different... I like them all!
Why do you have to pick just one?!?!

I like the red pinwheels. There's more contrast in the blocks. It will be fun to see what color you pick.

pink, only pink.

I think the pink ones are sort of blah (sorry, Keith!). I'd probably go with the brown -- so that there is some continuity between the pink blocks and the brown ones.

For what it's worth, I like the brown stars, and the opposite block in pink with a brown pinwheel center. I think the pink serves better as the "POP" in the quilt.

Looking good!! Might have to finally cut up my Charleston IV FQ bundle for this one.

Hugs,

Nancy

I like the red pinwheels the best, but it would maybe blend better, using the brown with the pink too...I guess I would make the corner triangles oposite then. Brown with the pink block, and pink with the brown star??? There are so many ways to do it, and several of them would look great:o)
Good luck choosing:o)

I too like the continuity of the brown to go with the other brown blocks.
then I like the red.
last I like the pink. too "normal".

I like the red because it "pops" more. The pink fades in too much and the brown could be come blah. I can't wait to see the finished product. You do great work!

I like the red--just the unexpected, I guess.

I love the pink first, then the red. Or do I like the brown best? I guess I just like them all and I'm really glad I haven't got to make the decision!

Brown to go with the brown blocks.

Red is my choice. I like the life red gives to the block.

I like the way the pinwheel shows up with the pink best. So I vote pink.

Either the brown or pink, with pink being my first choice. Will be fun to see what you choose. I really like the red, white, and blue version in your last post too!

Lots of comments! While I usually LOVE pink and brown, in this case I would stick with only pink, with the darker pink or red in the centers. The pink is all light and airy, while the brown looks kinda historic.

It will be wonderful to see the end result. No matter what we choose, almost EVERY QUILT I see turns out lovely!

I'm working on some blocks that have red with brown and I'm pleased with it. So I reckon I'd go with red...
