What an adorable picture! Sounds like you had a wonderful time!
That is how I made my daughters quilt for christmas but hand sewed the binding. On the last post I was going to ask about what they used for the sandwich of the quilt then I read the tutorial, what a great idea. I have so many old blankets around that I can use.
I tie the Q4L quilts as it's so much quicker than machining. I've discovered all sorts of different knots for tying quilts. Ifyou are interested I'll send you the PDF document if I can find it.
