Still working

I'm piecing the last few pink blocks for the Stars & Pinwheels and then have 6 or 7 more brown Star blocks ...I'm ready to get this top finished and move on to something else but I do love how it's turning out. For instructions and illustrations of the quilt in other colorways see my MaryQuilts.com site.

My photo editing lesson today uses a technique to simulate a photo taken through the viewfinder of an old camera....here's my original photo taken one evening on the Mississippi River.

And here's the desaturated photo with the texture applied.

Keith and I were out this afternoon on our bikes along the river, we rode over to the bike shop to buy saddle bags for my bike, then to a farmers market and back across the river to sit in the park and sip some iced coffee -- just a gorgeous day that makes me thankful for the beautiful city I live in.

It is going to be beautiful! I looked at your instructions and I think you have too much fun making these up! I would want one in every color. Almost glad I don't have a program that lets you create the tops and change colors, I would never get anything else done. be good cw

Had the pleasure of visting Minneapolis this past May and couldn't agree with you more. Fell absolutely in love with your city ... could definitely live there (winters and all)! Glad you get out and enjoy it ... SO much to see and do ... will definitely try and get back for another visit.

Isn't it nice to love where you are? So many are unsatisfied, making themselves unhappy. I am so greatful to be content.

The more I see of your Pink Pinwheels the more I love it. It just has to be added to my "to-do" list.

Seems like you're enjoying your photography classes. I'm going to have to go have a look at those too - like I really don't have enough to do! (gg)

As pretty as the pink and brown are together I must say I like just the pink ones too.
