A binding trifecta

Of all the quilts I have here to bind, I didn't necessarily set out to bind 3 Happy Block quilts in a row but that seems to be how it worked out.

Today's finish is one pieced from donated blocks at the HeartStrings Nebraska sew-in.

Happy blocks make happy quilts. They are all so bright and cheery. Good job Mary.

Happy quilt is such a good name for this type of quilt. They always make me smile.

At first the photo looked like one quilt to me...then I read the fine print! (ok and got my reading glasses...) What a great accomplishment! The red and turquoise looks wonderful!

Binding would be what bogs me down everytime! I find I am just ready to move on to the next project and the heck with finishing. Fortunately on the donation quilts I don't have to as some of the quilt group are more than willing to do the hand finishing.

Do you prefer to do it by machine, Mary? I know it makes a sturdy edge finish but I just hate how it looks when I personally do it.

When I was making placemats as hostess gifts before my trip to Oregon, my fingers sure got a work out---a total of 10 of them!

I love hand sewing on the binding.

I also like your new photo and I thought those 3 quilts next to each other were one in the picture!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE those blocks! The colors are so kid friendly! Awesome job to the quilters who made those and to you Mary for continually putting your quilting magic on them to finish them out! Jenn

Each one is cuter than the next. I am glad for you, that is a big accomplishment.
