Freehand Baptist Fans going every direction just filling the space. Can you believe I've actually finished quilting a 2nd HeartStrings top today? This one pieced by Sue and her Oroville/Chico California group
Mary Whoo- hooo! You're flying. I'm so anxious to try the free hand Baptist Fans-- yours always look so good-- and lined up. I can't believe they're just 'filling the space'. Trying to get the nerve to just 'go for it'.
I love the way the baptist fan looks on a quilt. You seem to be the only quilter that uses that pattern regularly. I have a stencil of it and can't wait to try it for myself. Keep on quilting! By the way, I'm all set to try tying some quilts with the tutorial you posted a while back.

Very pretty. And you do really nice even "wonky" fans!! I always like the string quilts, not matter what color, layout or quilting design.
Love the quilt and the quilting.
That looks great! I think I like that better than the more formal baptist fans.
And the leaves and swirls in your post before this one are nice too. :)
I love your Freehand Baptist Fans! Everytime I get the inkling to try them...I chicken out. ;-) One of these days....
