Ugh!

Don't bother to comment - just leave me to my misery. Can you believe that I have another wallhanging to quilt that Mom pieced for my other sister?? Just shoot me now! This is SO out of my comfort zone.

If she doesn't like it ... send it MY way!! I think it's beautiful. You're too hard on yourself, Mary ... stop listening to those "bad tapes" in your head!!

I know what you mean, I thought when I saw it. "Mary doesn't do this kind of work", so be a good daughter and quilt it for her.
You know, I am so new at this art, but see people pick colours that just don't do it for me. I made the ugly quilt this summer and am finishing it because it is a lesson learned and I have a new sewing machine, so I can practice stippling on it. We all know that spending the time and the MONEY doing a quilt, that somtimes, ya just gotta finish the sucker!

I think it looks nice. I especially like the quilting motifs done inside the wreath.

I'm behind on reading blogs. What you've done on this quilt looks wonderful - all that time spent doodling has really paid off :)

This is stunning work. But I do know what you mean, when you are asked to do something out of your zone. Everyone tells me that I pick beautiful colors for quilts, but I agonize in the fabric shops and haul bolts and bolts of fabric out. I'm so insecure... But it usually works out nice in the end.. And it doesn't get any easier with time or practice.. :) This is a beautiful piece, my compliments to you both.
