December's goals

I'm going to keep it simple this month and won't get crazy if I don't get through everything I'd like to. I'll work on binding the remaining 8 quilts from November and see what progress I can make on the items from October's list that never got finished. And to keep the stress low, rather than a *to do* list, I'll keep a *done* list.

Because I have quite a few things that I SHOULD be doing but have been putting off or ignoring, I'm going to try and do one thing each day (when I'm not traveling) that I don't want to do. Some of these are quilting related but most are not. You might learn something about me from seeing what things I've been putting off or don't want to do.

Today, I did two things: 6 months worth of filing household papers and organizing my files for 2008 and I registered my extended warranty for my iPhone.

What a fantastic idea! Its so much more motivating seeing things appear on a list that you have done rather than reach the end of the month and have a whole heap of things without a line through them! I might have to use that idea :)

Several years ago, I did something similar to your idea. I made myself finish at least one long-neglected project before New Year's Eve. I was usually successful.

I have a counted cross-stitch project that I started about 15 years ago that needs completed. I cannot motivate myself to work on it anymore.

So glad that I am not the only one that puts off dealing with household paper. I have 5 months of bank statements to balance!

This is a great idea. I used to keep a daily handwritten journal and every night I would write down 5 things that I needed to accomplish the next day. It works! I think it is time I get back to the list making.

I enjoy your goals and accomplishments however you present them. I wrote my accomplishment post and at first felt I hadn't really done much. I sure was surprised when I saw that I did get done!
