Was it worth me fussing over it another week?? It took a bit of work to turn those different size scraps into a border and I had to really scrounge around in my stash to find bits and pieces that would work with the fabrics in the quilt but it's done now.

Yes, yes, yes it was worth it! That is exactly what I envisioned when you asked what to do with the border! It turned out just beautiful! I'm sure it was a lot of extra work (and buying more fabric).
Mary, It's absolutely gorgeous. But then I'm crazy about blue, especially these brights. I've got some pre-cut kaleidoscope pieces and you've given me inspiration to do something with them.
Looks great! I always feel a sense of accomplishment from squeezing something out of my scraps. I love using up every last piece of certain fabrics. I think this was worth the effort of the pieced border!
Wowie Zowie! What a gift you have for making found/srounged pieces look so perfectly planned. The dark background and the pieced border make the blocks sing.

Well Mary, by the responses, when you quilt girl, you get the followers out in droves. I love the finished look of this quilt. It should be called "midnight blue" after the song. Excellent on the border, it just finishes it.
Isn't it amazing how such a beautiful quilt can be made with scraps leftover from other projects! The border is perfect, Mary, well worth the time it took. Nice work, as always.
