We see rather a lot of storm activity that looks like that. I have come to dislike it. On the other hand, I do like to cosy up with dogs & quilts & just view it from comfort & warmth.
I kind of like having a stormy day or two while on vacation -- it forces you to just stop and chill for a while (although it sounds like you've been doing that anyway -- LOL)
And with everything we need right here we can sit back and watch it.

Wow, that is beautiful! I too love to watch the power of nature/God. Makes me remember who is really in control, not man for sure. :~)
